Have a concert in your home!
Just what it says! Learn how you can bring the music to you in the comfort of your own living room or deck, it's the latest thing...and of course we'd be delighted to play for you! Just ask!

Some fine folks we'd like to turn you on to:
This is the most comprehensive, informative site for the Rio Grande Valley (Texas) we've found! Dare you to find something Rod hasn't covered! www.wintertexaninfo.com/otherwebsites.html. He also does promotional printing and is a professional photographer (heck he may even take in laundry-we're not sure-you can always ask!)

We met Sue Laver and Jon Hoita down in Florida, one lucky year for us. They invited us into their rig for music & grilled steaks...well, you can imagine how hard it was for them to get us to leave! Not only do they grill a delicious steak but they are seasoned professionals on guitars, drums, vocals and more, which we fully enjoyed. We think you will too. Since then, they have opened a wonderful duel shop described perfectly by their URLwww.flowersandmusic.ca. So next time you're in Toronto drop by and tell 'em we sent you!

www.michiganfolklive.com  is Michigan’s premier source of current information on the Michigan Live Roots Music scene. They strive to always provide the timeliest, most current, most comprehensive source of all things Folk Music related in Michigan.

The National Folk Alliance and also the regional  South East Regional Folk Alliance.  If you're a serious American folk music and dance afficiando, you might consider joining these fine organizations.

Musicians

Bob and Melody Burns are a highly trained, very versatile couple. Bob plays trumpet with and directs an actual Big Band. He also  plays guitar and banjo and sings with his wife and partner Melody as a duo. Melody, in addition to being a sweetheart, has a classically trained voice! They've both performed internationally...from folk music to Bach these guys do it all! Meet them yourselves at www.Banjobob.net.

OMT (One More Time), or Larry and Melissa as we call them, are a delightful couple we met on the road, who travel and do a fun, skilled variety show, honed from years of playing on stages and cruise ships. They do standards and some fun stuff (knock it off will ya guys?! That's our gig!) They even include their dog when they can! www.omtmusic.com.

Motor City Sidestrokers www.myspace.com/motorcitysidestrokers. This is really DBA morphed into the hottest little band that's part jug, part depression era, part old timey, part urban, part blues, and part swing. All of it great fun and well done!

Dennis Kingsburywww.FloydKingMusic.com An adept singer/songwriter and a fine instrumentalist. He co-hosts "Live at the Living Room" with Maggie Ferguson, and also finds time to play hot mandolin and bass for Wandrin' Wheel!

Dan Hazlett is not just any singer/songwriter. From down Detroit way, he does beautiful stuff & funny stuff & accompanys himself masterfully.  Prolific and intelligent. Check him out at www.danshazlett.com

Colonel Robert Morris is a master drummer who was in on the beginnings of the world-famous Memphis Sound.  He has worked with many of the greats, played for the Grand Ole Opry Road show, & toured with Charlie Feathers. To hear country & rockabilly like it should be played, get on over to www.meetrobertmorris.com, have a listen, & make a new friend!

Will and Ann Rowland. The artists formerly known as Floodgate, Will & Ann are wonderful musicians (think The Robin & Linda Williams of Michigan) & a fun couple. www.annandwillrowland.com. Great harmonies and tasty gospel!

Stonecross is not just another husband & wife team...not just another Celtic duo.  Suisan O'Rourke's rich alto in both English & Gaelic, & Zig Zeitler's skillful playing of just about any stringed instrument, combine for a rich, rich sound. Check them out at www.stonecrossband.com.  They also have a studio and concert venue which you can learn more about at www.whitecrowconservatory.com.

We met The Fabulous Heftones at the Evart Dulcimer Festival, where they were entertaining folks with the hottest ukulele & the most fascinating bass (dubbed a "Heftone") we've ever seen & heard. Brian & Lynn are multi-talented individuals; but as The Heftones they specialize in "tunes & ditties" of the 1920s. Lynn has a lovely clear voice perfect for the period, & Brian's crazy hot uke playing & wacky delivery make for a most delightful time. Go visit them at www.heftone.com.

Josh Way, the website master who created this site, has his own finely crafted site that is a lot of fun to play around in at
www.joshway.com. He is also a talented cartoonist (who did our "heads" caricatures) with two volumes of his comic out. Look for the "Gabe" series, as well as a daily comic. Lots of fun!

Neil McKinstry, who made the snazzy stick for our washtub, & makes the best walking sticks in Michigan, can be contacted at: The Whittle Shop, 11731 Lake 15 Rd. Atlanta, MI 49709-9054   (989)785-2029.

Bob LeFevre did our  first caricature. He's a very talented young artist, (comic creator, writer, & artist) who is best known, so far, for "Adventures of Aaron" which ran in the newspaper in Detroit for several years. Look for his upcoming comic book, "Aletheia."
